The role
A well-established food manufacturing site in the Norwich area is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead day-shift operations within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This role sits at the heart of performance delivery. You will be responsible for people leadership, shift execution, and operational control, ensuring production targets are met safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
It is well suited to a supervisor who leads from the front, understands manufacturing pressures, and knows how to keep teams engaged and consistent.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage production teams on a 4 on / 4 off day shift
- Deliver daily production plans, ensuring output, quality, and service targets are achieved
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, food safety, and GMP
- Monitor performance KPIs including output, waste, downtime, and labour efficiency
- Support and develop team capability through coaching, feedback, and clear expectations
- Work closely with Engineering, Technical, and Planning to maintain smooth operations
- Drive a right-first-time culture and support continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader within food manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong people-management capability with a calm, structured leadership style
- Confident decision-maker able to manage pace, pressure, and competing priorities
- Solid understanding of food safety, quality, and health & safety standards
- Comfortable working days on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
